Please vote so we can take our country back.
I'll go a step farther and tell you that you should not just vote, but vote for the good candidate -- not the one that's a jerk and wants to do stuff that'd do goofy things. We'll vote tomorrow - and thereby retain the right to tease or bitch or brag about the winners and losers. Those of you that don't vote -- you won't be allowed to complain. Why not? Because you didn't bother to vote, and that means you forfeit your right to vote.
VOTED
Voter #85 at the Skandia Township hall this morning -- 10AM. With less than a thousand residents in the township, and therefore maybe 600 voters -- that's pretty good. In with the good guys, out with the crappy ones. Unless the good ones are already in the office -- in which case I hope they maintain their status.
Voter # 60 checking in.
Going in right after work.
I have my lucky coin in my pocket, the flipping of which will determine the fate of the free world.
I'm not really this cynical - I just wish that the candidate's minions and financial backers would quit assuming I'm stupid.
After tonight, I can turn off my answering machine.
"Please vote so we can take our country back."
Whatdayamean?
"It was bought legally."
One of the ways that I make money for PepperoniBros is being a deputy county clerk and working as a troubleshooter for the touch screen voting machines that practically no one uses. My beat is the south coast, a beautiful, remote, thinly populated area, that is a joy to behold. Good duty, and I can make a few bucks to put in the racing account, now bone dry since we bought that lakester.
I voted a week ago... my motto... vote early and often
Was hoping they would stop calling and sending mail and running adds since my vote was already in.... no joy
Done!
My problem with early voting is- what happens if two days before the election my candidate is revealed to be a complete crook? If I voted for him two to four weeks before that, I'd want to take that vote back, but I can't.

Neil... they are all crooks :-o
Never had one go to the last week to be found out

. . .
"complete" being the operative word . . .
I thought that today's mail would be a few less than the 2" of candidate junk we have been receiving. No such luck! Hope tomorrow is better. Voted at the school down the street, incumbents NO, minority names NO. Let your heart be your guide.

Rouse;
As Claude Rains said in "Casablanca"-- "I'm shocked! Shocked to find gambling going on in this establishment!" Waiter: "Your winnings, sir." :-D

Next someone will post that we cant trust our government.
I really hope everything works out for all of you.
Votes are in...went rather well from where I sit. Now the question is" How long until all of these damn signs are taken down"? Especially the losers.

Poor Ethel. Good one rouse. :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D
Pot is legal here. A lot of hoopla was about it being a source of revenue for the govt. The state is into gambling via the lottery and drug dealing by way of the dope business. The mafia taught them well.
I watched Sky news last night and the political expert called your president a "Lame Duck President".
Very funny I thought. Ours over here would be on "Bait Car". :-D
Mike:
Now that's funny!
I`m keeping tabs on the political signs .....So far? it looks as though the winners have done the RIGHT thing and removed theirs...The Loser`s signs were LEFT in place
Speaking of pulling political signs down, one year a politician offered to pay for his signs to be picked up after the election. The problem was he did it a couple weeks before the election and they were all pulled down early by people wanting the money. Can't remember if he won or lost, doesn't sound like he thought that plan through very well.
That, is funny.
