Title: 3D Models of Roadster Body?
Post by: bambrose on January 27, 2021, 07:39:53 AM
Hello gents,

I know this one is a long shot, but I was curious if anyone had gone through the effort to develop a solidworks or similar 3D model of any of the roadster bodies?
I am proficient in 3D modeling and have already starting developing models for sub-components like wheels, tires, suspension, fire system, etc., but tackling the contours of the body accurately is a challenge for even an experienced 3D modeler.

I'm specifically looking for a 26-27 roadster from the firewall through the turtle deck, but would gladly accept a model A as well which could get me headed in the right direction for component placement.

I have seen the list of official dimensions used by SCTA which is helpful, as well as a sketch I found on Jalopy Journal (which is close but not quite accurate after I tried to model it in 2D on Autocad (see attached).

Thanks in advance for any pointers!
