Originally there weren't enough people interested in this event so the organizers had to cancel it. However, due to renewed interest (and people actually registering!) the event is now "on". www.loringtiming.com
Yes, it's pretty far north but it's probably the premier paved event in the country, and not really that difficult to get to (about an hour from the interstate). There is ample opportunity to get in as many runs as you want, the atmosphere is great and these are always well-run events. Speeds are timed at the 1.0 mile, 2 Km and 1.5 mile: lots of record opportunities.
That's good news for me. If i can figure out the A/F situation with the two-cylinder, I hope to there!
Im going and always a good time attending LTA's events.

Jack: it would be good to see you again up there!
I hope to be there, but it's not looking promising. The FAST air/fuel ratio meter is misbehaving, and I really need this info to avoid a lean-cylinder situation on the track. I made some changes which improved the very-fat rear cylinder, but don't really know where I stand on air-fuel ratios.
It's almost impossible to talk with FAST people since they sell exclusively through Summit now.
We're packing the trailer now. We will be there with our 1946 GMC PU. It's always a great event and I'll get all the runs I need.
Good luck. Be safe, go fast.
Anyone make a run yet?
