Anyone from Canada entered in the 2026 BMST and have you been able to find an insurance company for the required rider medical insurance? This has turned into a much bigger problem than I anticipated as it seems there are no insurance companies willing to offer the required insurance in Canada any longer. And the AMA ramp insurance doesn't seem sufficient.

The only company offering insurance for land speed in Canada last time I raced in 2024 was TUGO based in Richmond BC. Check to see if they still offer it.
You have to buy their travel ins package and add the "extreme Sports" rider for speed events. Expect to pay $1000 for the rider for 5 days of coverage..... about the same as a Taylor Swift concert ticket! You can get the price down a little bit if you increase the deductable.
Last time I ended up in hospital at Laguna Seca the bill was $12 grand for an hours worth of treatment. I

Sorry, dropped off for a bit. Ended up TUGO was the only option. All done online through their website. Just under 2 grand for my wife and myself. Most of that is to cover the rider (me) but she needs insurance as well just being on the course.
