Since there is a statewide ban on fireworks the BLM is opening the Bonneville salflats for one night only to light off fireworks.

There's rule's.
1.) pack in pack out, leave no trace .
2.) there will be a police presence.
From the Fox 13 article it doesn't state weather they will be walking in or allowed to drive in.

They've banned fireworks, in the state known for its history of polygamy?
Go figure.
And the question will be how bad idiots will tear up the salt, not if they will. That and how much trash they will leave behind.
I think if they make em walk in. Should reduce the damage a lot. Also if they bring in dumpsters for the trash. "If" ???
