I'm hoping to get out there next year, at this point I just get to try and see what I can from behind a screen.

I've been working on modeling the car still, starting from the inside out, however I think I might step back and make the cage a little taller for a slightly more upright seating position.

it doesn't look like much, but I made the cage taller, it should still be a tight fit, but now I should be able to see over the front wheels better. I also modeled some wheels and tires, so I could start on the front end. I'm thinking I'll mount the front end on a swingarm, but without suspension, so that I should be able to make minor adjustments to ride height. I'm working on designing the front end in a modular manner so I can move it back and forth as little as needed.

one of the big things I started considering is brakes. obviously we want to use the chutes for the majority of the stopping power, but I still need some kind of brakes. Are brakes typically only on the rear axle? the rules really don't say much, basically no front wheel only, they need to be "adequate" and useable by the driver...
