THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY CLARIFICATION. I RACE A FIREBIRD IN B/GC; WE HAVE ADDED ABOUT 1000 LBS OF LEAD IN REAR FOOTWELLS AND BODY PANELS. WE NEED TO ADD MORE WEIGHT AND I WOULD LIKE TO CONNECT THE FRONT AND REAR FOOTWELLS WITH A STEEL PLATE UNDER THE CAR AND BOLT THE LEAD ON THE UPPER SURFACE OF THAT PLATE, IS THIS PERMISSABLE. I NEED A LITTLE MORE PERCENTAGE TOWARD THE FRONT. FOR BALANCE.
ANY HELP APPRECIATED.
THANKS

No. You defiantly cannot do this in Gas Coupe.
Look at the rocker sills, we did a map of where we put all the weight in the Gen III to make it weigh 5,200 lbs.

NOT PERMITTED BECAUSE OF  CLOSING A SPACE UNDER CAR?. I  WOULD REALLY LIKE A COPY OF YOUR WEIGHT MAP.  IM PRETTY SURE WE WILL BE PAST 5000 LB WHEN WE GET CLOSER TO RECORD. SEEMS TO KEEP WANTING MORE AT RR.
THANKS FOR RESPONSE

Bob, take the caps off and read about belly pans in the rule book.  It sounds like you are trying to install one.
Frames can be boxed and filled... re-read you class rules

THANK YOU FOR REPLYS.  I UNDERSTAND THE BELLY PAN COMMENT. AT THIS POINT IT'S ALL AERO.
