Modified Roadster for Sale

For Sale: Modified Roadster. Built by Mel Swain. According to the rule book the fastest BF/MR to ever run at El Mirage Dry Lake Bed. Under Mel's ownership it set and still holds the fastest 3 records at El Mirage in the AA, A, and B, Blown Fuel Modified Roadster class. I bought this car off of Mel and have not changed one thing except to take all of the names, sponsors, and car number off of the car at Mel's request which I did and had a new number put on the car. I bought this car as a roller, and it is set up for a 426 style Hemi motor, with a Lenco 3 speed transmission. It has a George Parker Quick Change Rear End in it with a 1-1 Ring and Pinion. It has been stored inside since I have owned the car. One of the nicest Modified Roadsters ever built IMO.

For what it is, it's a gift. If you have ever built any race car you know. Same with the 788 Nebulous Theorem car. How much$ and how long would it take you to go 400mph. I keep buying those LOTTO tickets when it's high enough to race for a few years. LOL

George, thanks for the reply on the car. What you say is true, especially with inflation in the last couple of years. The inflation calculator says I should be asking $48,000 for the car for me to break even on what I paid for it. LOL. So it is a bargain at what I am asking. IMO.

Still for sale. El Mirage is coming soon, and Bonneville is only a little over 4 months away. Will trade for a nice street rod or? To have this car built today it would cost you at least twice what I am asking and it would not be a proven car. This car still holds 3 records at El Mirage in the 2024 rule book @ 266, 274, and 280 mph. What are you waiting for?
