Time to start thinking about the conditions for Speed Week ...  :friday

Thank you for this update.  I hope it stays good.

If anybody thinks it's any thicker this year they're living in dream land & probably drinking BLM kool Aid. :-P
It rained on Thursday before the T&T & that left standing water but it soaked in pretty quick. It was lumpy at the start line but got better a ways out. It's been hot & dry since then so get ya junk loaded up & lets go racing. :-D

Well as Sid said, not horrible, but not great... yes it seemed a little rough in spots during the course drive.... it was damp, but good enough for the test and tune.  Hopefully it will continue to dry and the SCTA will get it smoothed out.  It is thin... but I'm looking forward to racing...  mother nature needs to help out a little

Looks like it got a little wind and rain just before dark yesterday....  no puddles visible after... but it did keep most of the hooligans off the salt yesterday.  No lights after dark running around.

Based on the 15-day weather forecast for the Wendover area, it looks good.  No big days of rain are predicted during that
period in that area.  Of course, things can and do change, but I believe that the methodology of predicting local weather is
continuing to improve and get more accurate.

My decision about whether to go to Bonneville for Speed Week will be based on weather forecasts that I will check about July 29.
If I abort the trip, I'll still be able to cancel my motel reservations without penalty.
