When I looked at how large an area appeared to be "smoothed", I imagined someone laboriously dragging it with that
weldment made of I-beams (I guess).  Not just the racing lanes, which I guess are about 100 feet wide, but much of
the area where we drove . . . along near the double blue lines on the salt . . . and also for the "return road(s)".
And I also couldn't help but notice the hundreds of red (or orange?) rubber safety cones in so many places, along with yellow "barrier" tape.  And the dozens of "Honey Buckets".  And, of course, all the setup of the timing equipment, staging lanes for
race vehicles, communication system(s), ambulance(s), etc.  I've probably neglected to mention some things.  For this, I apologize.

Although I'm not a racer, or even a member of SCTA, I've been interested in Bonneville for decades and decades, and have been there a few times as a spectator.

I wish to express my thanks and appreciation for all the folks who set it up and are making it happen.

Takes a week or so to set up, then run it for a week, then take it all down.
THAT is dedication.
