My elementary school aged son came home from school crying because the science teacher told him the sun was going to burn out.

I told him that wouldn't happen for four billion years.

He calmed down and said "Oh, I thought she said four million years."

An associate has a grand daughter who came home from her first day at school all excited. Seems she has "Two girls with the same face" in her class. Just guessing they were twins.
I`d never advocate drugs, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone...But they work for me.

I don't know whether this one is "acceptable", but here goes anyway.

When you're the parent of pre-teens, you have to be prepared for some surprising questions . . . like when your daughter asks:
"Daddy, what's fellatio?"

"That's an Italian word.  Like Pinocchio."

"Oh, so it has something to do with wood?"

      "Well, yeah, actually."
