I have my Mustang in a gazillion pieces in my garage and am just getting around to re-assembling the thing for speedweek. Throughout the tear down and mods I kept saying to myself, "you've got till August!" Well, I also had my motorcycle tore apart. Then spring time in Michigan meant yard work and some house maintenance. Then work was asking for 7 day a week coverage and suddenly August is approaching faster than the 1 mile marker and I am still in 3rd gear.. With that being said, any expected changes in the rules this year?
Hope everyone is a little farther ahead in their builds than I am!

For some reason the salt from previous years corroded my relay and switch panels, so rewiring that. Otherwise in ok shape.

I am making adjustments in about a hundred places trying to gain 14 mph (228 record) and a red hat. I run a NA 351 in CGC. The blown gas record in CGC is only5 mph higher than my previous best. If I could only attach a low buck blower to my car without redesigning the engine compartment, headers and such..Anyone put a belt driven pump on a high compression small block?

How about a leaf blower?  I know they've been used in other applications with some success.  I'd think an electric one would work just as well as a gas-powered version.

Hot Rod Magazine did that to a Corvette some years back. It actually helped!

I think it's ill-eagle.  Separate power source?  Unless you drive it off the generator?

Why not just switch to the cherry-picking Classic C/Fuel Altered record.  Its over 30 years old at only 243 says the push-truck driver.

But a small belt driven roots like on the old supercharged Bonnevilles or a centrifugal supercharger just adding 5 lbs of boost taking you back to sea level or maybe 15 ft below might get you there....
BTW, nothing that makes you go faster is cheap....

There are some small electric superchargers that are scams and also some electric supercharger options that use electric power to drive a turbocharger style impeller to give a reasonable boost.
https://www.carthrottle.com/post/electric-superchargers-debunked/

QuoteCompressing air takes a whole load of energy; around 6-7bhp for every psi of boost is sapped from an engine to drive a mechanical supercharger. Applying that to electronics, a 12-volt battery will barely be capable of providing the energy needed to perform anywhere near the same capabilities of an engine?s crank.

There might also be some affordable surplus Eaton supercharger options, that can give a small boost for a lot less expense that doing a proper electric supercharger installation.

Then there is compressed air supercharging ( https://casupercharging.com/ ) . Interesting concept but along with the electric turbochargers is not legal for Bonneville. Any belt or other mechanical driven from the primary engine ( ie no leaf blowers) or exhaust driven is ok.
Lots of youtube videos of the electric ones, some work some don't.

62 Days? All new everything? Does that mean the Rampage will be a S-10 when you're through?
I got a new triple disc 7 1/4" clutch for my car, some new oil and a filter. I have a new carb spacer and throttle cable. Head gaskets are new and 8 thou thinner. Gear lube, I have new gear lube! Not much else new though. I wonder if I can find 14 mph in an oil change?
