quater Mach, half a Mach, Whole mach ay

Anyone see the latest Tesla Roadster demo?
Maybe wilder than the rocketry was Elons claim that the target speed for the new Roadster is half a Mach. That's 383mph. He flippantly said something along the lines of "who needs to worry about tires?"

Of all message boards on planet earth this one probably has the most readers that have physically, with their own eyes, seen a set of tires after a 380mph+ run. Elon has made possible some spectacular engineering innovations, but I think the only Tesla Roadster that'll ever see 380mph+ has already left Earth's orbit.

I saw multiple vids. It all looked fake to me.

Q. How can you tell when a tech CEO is lying?

A. His lips move.

Having spent a lot of time working in tech I can confirm this is frequently accurate...
