I saw on Facebook today that Helmut Haupt has passed. In case his name doesn't ring a bell, he was the crew chief on the record setting 426 RMR when Willi Boelcke ran it. I remember him cruising the pits at El Mirage in a Rolls Royce wearing a durag. What a character! An entertaining individual to say the least! So long Helmut!
