 Ralph,
Didn't get a chance to talk to you at EM,but I would really like to know who made your bodywork and where can I get a set? Not running in your class, run in APS-G 1350.
Thanks in advance! :-D

Rifleman, when a spambot is removed it leaves a hole in the messages that sometimes looks strange. The quote in John's message was from a spambot that has been removed.

I guess it's not clear to one and all, so I'll try to tell the story.

We get invaded by spambots (programs that figure a way to get enrolled/registered on the Forum) now and then.  The most common form of post is a sentence or two in plain English - usually nonsensical - and sometimes the thing starts a new thread, too.  Going on in the post, there are almost always links at the bottom of the suspect post -- again, written in English but highlighted in blue -- so we can tell they're links.  I have never followed one of the links, figuring that it'd take me to something I don't want in my computer -- and don't want in yours, either.

So -- as the boss of this place my control panel has buttons to "Remove this post" and "Remove this topic".  I use the first of those most of the time, when the spambot has just inserted something in an existing thread.  But when the machine starts a new one I have to "remove this topic" -- so everything that's posted in the topic will go away, even posts from youse guys.

Either way -- sometimes the result is confusing because folks make posts that seem meaningless -- and pretty much are unless you saw the spambot's original.

Got it?  It's me, trying to keep this site as clean and worry-free as I can make it.

Glad you caught that Boss!
I recently acquired a very nasty hijacker bug that required my 'IT Guy' to reformat my machine. Nice to know that ADMIN is on the ball!
It was just funny and disconcerting to see John reply and have no idea what it was about.
Great job and EVERYBODY watch out for a sudden screen that looks like Microsoft Security(right down to the little red shield)and calls itself Antivirus 2010. If this comes up,IMMEDIATELY SHUT OFF YOUR MACHINE!!!!!!!!! This is the only way to stop the download. Click on the 'x' or anything else and you're DONE.
This virus is tricky enough to get around ESET's NOD32 antivirus.
I hope there is a special level of Hell for these hacking bastards!
