Nobod, nope seems like you have to really search around to find the actual feed of the day. While kudos have to go out to the guys trying to do this, SSS and Ron have some pretty big shoes to fill. I agree with the comments for the most part and I think after the dust settles, we should mount a campaign to let SCTA that we are not pleased. Maybe they never heard of the first amendment-free speech? As I understand it Jon was axed because he didn't 'FACEBOOK' his website  :x Complete BS. I tried watching the 'feed' and  every time it when silent, I stopped what I was doing to check to see if it was still working. After about 2 days of that, I'll watch videos for some of the past events. SSS are you gonna be at WOS? Hope so! Be safe all!
Yup, it was me. I finally found it. AND, I agree with with everything you just said.

The LSRLive.com coverage of Speedweek is confusing. I give thanks to the guy doing the coverage. However, some here have said he is doing this independently on his own dime, and some have said this is the official SCTA coverage and this is what they wanted to replace Jon and Ron. SCTA even told Jon that he COULD NOT share the FM to us because the YouTube channel was enough. There is even a SCTA logo on the screen. It can't be both be independent and official.
Which is it?

You should ask Jim Lattin, probably.

A viewer ask Tim to do a PIP of the timing screen so viewer can see the times for cars since he does not read them off a lot of times.  (He is getting better but still misses some cars.  Day one was a total miss.)   He said he needed to ask SCTA for permissions, he was not sure SCTA wanted that information to get out.   Then he read times from that screen.   The speed information is not secret, it is not "official", but not secret.

Lets not forget he is using an SCTA trailer to film off of.   Taking over most of the top floor and part of the bottom floor of the trailer.

Hey there.  I Monday at 3.45AM I left Motel 6 Wendover and boogied for home.  I drove about 38 of the 44 hours to get here.  Now I'm at the kitchen table and gonna go mow the grass.  I read a few of your comments and had to quit - it's too damned hard for me to just sit there and reflect on the whole sorry mess.

Here;s what's in my head:

If nothing else, "What can I do starting with what I've got RIGHT NOW to benefit land speed racing?"

No, you guys don't get to answer that!!  Just sayin' lol8[/size]

Gimme a while or two and I'll put together some of my thoughts and ideas and guesses so you'll know some of the stuff* hiding inside my Red Hat wearing-noggin.  I'll post something within a day or two.  Stay tuned.

I seen that and wondered how they got that snow cat down there and retrieved the truck, trailer and the demon and returned to impound all within the allotted hour. Beats me.

As I understand, the Demon was in the mud for 4 hours.

One thing that I miss sitting here in Arizona during Speedweek -- it is not going through the paddock and talking with all the teams, characters and more that make it such a unique place.  We are lucky the streaming is happening at the starting line of the long course, but all the comments above relate to that and how it is going.  Where the "true color" is would be to find someone to wander the paddock with a camera and a knowledge of the people and teams.  Interview (a select few) before a run -- while thrashing and before heading to the line -- and post after the run.  Intermix it with some video runs of the said characters being interviewed.  I see the 1320Video guys (3.5M+ subscribers) creating a nice mix of actual track sequence with colorful commentary with people.  One could FB or YouTube it while created during the day or edited afterwards for a cleaner presentation. (for history)

And given this is landracingDOTcom, how about a visit of some of the member teams/people (who post here) and visits prior to their shops before Bonneville?  And the antics and drama of getting to the salt flats itself -- or when loading up and things are broken, or they are done for the week and packing.  And of course, two other videos of real importance -- the setup and grooming of the track before the 1st competitor appears -- and the cleanup after they all go home and the SCTA volunteers pack up and head home.

Just a thought and I'm sure someone could refine the concept into something that could be fun and also rewarding to watch (and repeatedly).

If you watch any of the Drag and Drive live feeds they have rover people in the lanes and in the pits.   They cut their interviews in when things are slow on track or do PIP.    It does take more people but I know for Rocky Mountain race week it is just 2 to 3 people.
