The Bockscar and the partially finished new trailer attended Services for our teammate John "Johnboy" Gowetski at Fort Logan National Cemetery on May 1 .  Since he was the first to get in the 200 MPH Club in the car, we thought it should be at his Military service and his celebration of life.  Several of his family members had only seen the Bockscar in pictures, it can be a little bit smaller than it looks.
John's family members were able to jump in John's easy chair and make "varoom varoom" noises at the VFW during the celebration of life.

No worries Pork Pie, his name is still in the book on 2 records, one will be 31 years old this coming Speedweek and the other 29.  We were young and lucky back then...

I don't know Stan, we've probably just been lucky for 47 years...  :?

Pork Pie worked on the pic I posted... It was just a picture of a picture... back then there wasn't digital... but there was 35mm and a SLR camera and prints...
