Get off the stove Grandad.  You're too old to be riding the range.

note the #4 rod in the first pic.

That 'U' shape didnt happen from sitting out the the elements for almost 100 years. Clearly when things let go it wasnt pretty; likely why they just walked away.

ALSO....car had a wooden frame....its almost gone.

Too bad about this engine...lots of really cool stuff about it, external push rods, aluminum block ect.

Would make a really cool looking rod motor.

Some of the early Sunbeam motorcycles with exposed pushrods were renowned for slinging said puhrods at high (thats a relative word) rpm.

I used to work up in the Deep of North Queensland, occasionally driving a tow truck.
Got a call from my boss early (2am) on sunday morning.
Head up the pacific highway north a bit from your place, a car's hit a cowsay
So I'm driving up and down the highway not finding anything.
I get on the radio and as it comes out of my mouth the penny drops
"Boss, I can't find this car, and what's a cowsay?"
With much laughter from the other end . Mooooooooo

Sorry, did I get off topic again, early Buick motor

I don't believe Buick ever used wooden frames.
