  Like someone has already said, there are two sides to every story. When I first came to BV with a new car and was subjected to a super long tech session I was pretty miffed. I won't name names but one of the three guys raking me over the coals was the top dog and acted the part. Another guy looked a my FWD lakester and basically said it wouldn't work because so and so and someone else and another guy (name dropping) tried it and couldn't make it work. They seems like they were playing off each other to get brownie points. My crew had to physically restrain me to keep me from blowing a fuse. I had to do a few token things to make them happy. That was 20 years ago and the blood vessels are still sticking out on my neck!!! Don't get me started on the guy from Canada that keep sayin " thats not how we would have done it at our machine shop". Then he said we are in this same class and I always wanted to see how this car was built" To Lee Kennedy's credit he put in a rule to prevent any one from teching someone in their class. The (G...... J......son) rule  And don't get me started on those guys from the Au.  I was warned before I got started that it was a Good old Boys Club of the SCTA clubs and they protected their members records. Now that they are struggling to get entry's I think they have relaxed there attitudes at the urging of Lee Kennedy whom I have the greatest respect for. When you try and race from 1200 miles away at El Mirage you really see what an insiders club it is. I think it's like just about any organization of this size and politics become a factor. P>S> now that all the El meets are two days I might still give it a Bucket List go with the help of Ed Fenn

   dsorey... I have raced at EL mirage off and on for 35yrs and never hear stories like yours.

               You claimed to have ran your black 57 chev there. As in my previous post.

           I SEE NO STARTING POSITION OR CAR CLASS AND NUMBER ON THE CHEV.

           AND IF YOU RAN WHAT WAS YOUR STARTING POSITION, LANE, TIME AND DATE??

            UNTILL, YOU PROVIDE THEM I WILL BE THINKING YOUR FULL OF BULL $HIT.

Everyone needs to "Wake Up".

According to this article the original picture was taken by Kremer Johnson.  Then posted with an article about El Mirage. The first comment was posted back in Jan. 2017, and there was a comment on the chevy in Aug. 2017. So the picture is at least 9 or 10 years old. Car picture is 6th one down.

So 9 or 10 years have passed, and a person is still not happy and POed after all this time, yet will not identify who he is, or what his car number was, what club he eventually belong to, etc, etc, etc.

He is playing everyone who has replied including me. So "Wake Up" and don't reply to any more of his posts. I am done with this thread, as I Woke Up.
