In the M classes, are aftermarket frames considered "OEM street type frame(s)". The rules state that you may rake the head, mine is 34*, but nothing about stretching the frame 2 inches.

Are aftermarket cases permitted in the M classes, or only A classes?

These questions apply to a H-D bike.

Input and time is appreciated on these questions.... Thanks !

Morpheus, you can search the archives for more on the issue, but after a rule change in, IIRC, 2004, use of S&S cases is restricted to A classes only.
Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.

May I assume that the new ruling applies to my S-T-D and Delkron cases also? I realize many S&S cases/engines were used in the majority of so called aftermarket bikes, so the rule change would zero in on that particular make.

What i'm after is a ruling allowing non H-D factory cases in the M class.

Perhaps a email to the committee would be better.

Thanks for your reply.....

joea

do you have a rule book..?..

FIRST PAGE OF M CLASS rules..."the engine shall be from the same
manufacturer as the frame".............

not sure if this helps or not......

It's "A" class only for Delkron and STD, per what Joe said.  And, if a factory bike uses S&S cases, at least 500 of the model had to be produced to qualify for "M."

Joeea.... well that pretty much covers the frame portion. Yes I "had" a rulebook but  :>(  Friday evening while discussing this subject my girl friend hollers NOT AGAIN !  she picked "something" up off of coffee table and chucks it into fireplace.

:>O ! Oh my... guess what that was morph......  sooo anywho, my Kraft-Tech frame is only good for special construction as are the cases.

Easy as fallin' off a log............     Big THANKS Folks !   Now to order another rulebook  :>)

In some cases either ends up costing you more money!

Consider the costs: new rule book and a Harley or a girlfriend.

The Harley won't change it's mind. It has no mind.

Maybe that makes it the same as a girlfriend.

Harley  1    Girlfriend   0

But, if you are frustrated you can kick the Harley.

Harley   2    Girlfriend  0

The Harley won't care if you ride another Harley.

Harley  3  Girlfriend  0

The Harley doesn't care if you come home at night.

Harley  4    Girlfriend   0

A Harley never invites it's Mom to come visit you.

Harley   5    Girlfriend   0

You can have 2 bags on the rear fender of a Harley.

Harley  6           Girlfriend     Leans the wrong way.

If you have a Harley  7       Girlfriend if you have a Harley   No Score.

A knocking Harley is still cheaper than a knocked up girlfriend.

Seems to me you can always stroke your Harley but not if you have a girlfriend.

You can leave a dead Harley along side the road. A dead girlfriend will be with you forever.

Either a Harley or a girlfriend can keep you broke.

There are fewer consequences with the Harley.

A ruling on a case and a frame is always cheaper than a ruling on a girlfriend.

A dead Harley is less problem than a live Girlfriend.

I hate 'em but the Harley wins.

If you feel that way about a Harley, tell us how you feel about a Wheel on a Stick. LOL.
