A friend sent me a link to this article, I hope it is not a repost but I could not find any current reference to it.

He asked me if I thought it was true, and I responded by sending him a link to my web page on the saltflats.

Larry,

Great post on an issue that is near and dear to all of us. My twin boys are 11 and they say they want to run my car when they are old enough and break my record...so far I have not set a record but still have a few more years to try before they are old enough to drive. My hope is that your efforts and that of others has by then reversed the trend of salt depletion. I am a free enterpirse man myself and I believe in the creation of profits and wealth...provided these profits are not made at the detrement of others. In the Potash mines situation there clearly appears to be money made to the detrement of our historic land racing venue. With that said, there should clearly be some corporate accountabiity...unfortunately, it will most likely have to be imposed on them the protect the salt if there should be a change of heart or ownership of the mining operation.

Can I link your site on my billreillymotorsports.com site?

Thanks for the kind words --

Yes feel free to link it anywhere you like. It's intent is to add one more gateway on the web for people who do not eat sleep and live bonneville to get understandable information on  the slow but steady deterioration of the salt.
