For those following the outright lsr battle on two wheels the Jet Reaction turbine powered bike of Richard Brown is now testing on runways in the UK. After a half dozen runs the telemetry was recording speeds of 120 mph. There is footage on you tube which can be reached through the website www.jetreaction.net Just watch him draw away from standstill without towing or pushing.

A long way still to travel on the journey to over 400 mph but eight months into the public programme and a lot has been achieved. When financial assistance is available there will be an attempt on the outright UK speed and Richard's own record for non - wheeldriven bikes (216.55 mph and a one way speed of 241.15 mph). Then it will be preparation for the FIA outright record speed.
