When I see these pics, I wonder what it looked like there 50 years ago.
Could the mud still be seen thru the brine back when the salt was thicker?
No, it's only been 10yrs or so since it got so thin that you can see through it.

After all the wind, the salt had leveled out enough to spot new tracks across the salt on Thursday afternoon (Mar. 20th).

I was just in Moab, Utah for a few days. Intrepid has a setup there too.

Today.
Don't think I've ever seen it look like this:

Seldom Seen Slim

I was about to say the same.  Ripples on the water.

Checked it several times today, and the texture was different every time. THIS is how the salt gets leveled.

The pattern is unusual, but what about the color?  How much salt is there in that picture?

I'm hoping it looks like this because the sun is not shining on the ripples making it look dark. We know there was a lot of dirt from lands end to over a mile in last year with no salt. Hoping this is not the case from what we are seeing in these pictures.

Pretty wild pics. We're getting 2.5" of rain today in mid TN. Thats half a year's worth at the BSF.

This frame seems to back up "smirking Brenda the pseudo-scientist" claim that the salt washes down from the mountains.... Wow look at all that salt on the top of that mountain...  aktion086  aktion086  aktion086
