4 at rookie course start, 6 + ADA (handicap unit) at short course start.  It's less than a hundred yards from one to the other, too.

Data:  There's a Salt Cat towing vehicle stationed at Land's End today.  He's there because he's already towed a number of folks outa the muck.  Drive carefully.\

The truckstop at the interstate exit 4 raised the gas prices!!!!  Yesterday at noon when I arrived it was $3/gallon or so, like most of the stations in town.  As of this morning the truckstop is charging $3.999 (yeah, okay four bucks) a gallon.  They didn't spike the diesel price, but they sure seem confident that they'll make out well with the new gasoline price.

Speed limits on Wendover/West Wendover's main drag has been increased to 35.  It's been 25 for a long time.

Down past the Nugget's new RV parking area is a snack shop (where there used to be the dentist?).  I just saw it last night - haven't gone to see what it is.

Smith's grocery store doesn't accept Visa credit cards any more.

It's been cloudy all day, with about 27 rain drops having fallen, but now - 2.50PM or so - the sun is coming out.  The tracks are in good shape (well, the rookie course hasn't been dragged much yet but the others are fine).

I don't know what radio frequency we'll be broadcasting FM on so you can listen in your cars and the pits.  We usually don't figure that out 'til Friday.  89.3, 89.7 -- Land's End Lynda will know once we decide.

That's a "go figger" - usually it's the AMEX that gets refused - higher merchant fees.

NO LIVE STREAMING!!!!  That is, not 'til somebody that knows how to connect the audio from the mixer into the laptop finds me and helps me figure it out.  This laptop is a brand new HP and wants a Windows user, not me the Apple guy, to use it.

HELP!!!  I'll be on the salt in a little while, kinda hanging around the announcing trailer as it gets set up.  Please come find me.

I'm on the salt now - at the announce trailer.  It was misting/light raining as I left town for out here.  On the freeway it was wet.   The rain had stopped by the time I was past the truckstop, but there are some folks parked inside the Bend in the Road that are probably gonna stay put for a few hours.

The salt is a tad sticky right now, but the rain has stopped - little of it that there was - and things'll tidy up soon, no doubt.

I haven't taken any pics this morning - will go cruise the pits to see who's here while I wait for my laptop wizard to appear.  I hope.
