I know there are no silly questions  , but what are the steps to actually register/apply a vehicle to run Bonneville/ El mirage.

Also, can you tech in at El Mirage with the same requirements for Bonneville?

Thanks everyone!

Its easy to do. When your on the opening page for Land Racing look at the left top corner you will see the category Organizations. The first organization listed is SCTA-BNI use that link to find the required entry forms. The rule book used for both Bonneville and El Mirage is the same so overall the tech requirements would be the same.
Working in the shop I use the 'F' word a lot. No not that word these words Focus and Finish go Fast and Flathead Ford!
ECTA  XF/BGRMR Record 179.8561
LTA    XF/BGRMR  Record 200.921 First  Ever Ford Flathead Roadster to hit 200 MPH burning gasoline July 2018

If you want to enter an SCTA event at El Mirage, there are some procedures you need to be aware of. If you go to the SCTA-BNI website you can find the "El Mirage Procedures". This guide will explain the nuances of racing on the lakebed. You can try the link below. It may get you to the EMP.

The very first thing you should do if you want to run Bonneville is join the association you want to  run with. For the SCTA that would be the BNI. For running Bonneville with the Utah Salt Flat Racing association, you would join the USFRA. To run at El Mirage you must join a club affiliated with the SCTA and that would also allow you to run at SCTA events at Bonneville. In other words you must join the organization who puts on the race to be able to race for a record.

Is that what you want to know?

I love the USA. How much longer will we be a free nation?

The inspection form check off sheet is also one of the forms. It is the same one that will be used to inspect your vehicle. Each line also refers to its place in the rule book where information in written. Everything is the MINIMUM. many of us have done much more. I believe other LSR venues which are NOT affiliated with the SCTA or Bonneville Nationals Inc use the same rule book.
I also believe other organizations MAY issue 200 MPH items not meeting the same standards since you mentioned it. Depending on the class you choose it?s possible you will need to set a record over 400 to get a 200 mph club hat. Good luck..
