Last year I got burned up pretty quickly and was looking for one of those hats with neck protection.
They didn't have anything like that but... they had a slip-over type thing that covered up the neck in the pits.
I was super grateful for that.
This year a customer was telling me about his Tilley airfow hat. Very nice hat but spendy.
I found Tilley had a hat that had neck protection.
Called the  Ultra sun cape hat.  Ordered one right away in light toupe. Cheaper through Tilley than REI or other local stores.
Any other hats you all recommend  ?

OR, a $10 straw hat from your garden center and a 3.99 bandana!

Cowboy hats look that way for a reason.

Giant sombreros (minimum 48-inch O.D.) work well, too.  just remember you'll have to take it off before getting into your car.

This is not (warning:  I'm about to mention a possibly-related-to-land-speed-racing-term) rocket science.
