I posted this on Facebook, which you'll need to visit to see the video.

If you'd like to rent your own Porta-Potty for SpeedWeek - here's how.  The SCTA-BNI vendor at the salt has been Honey Buckets for a decade or more.  We'll have toilets in the usual places in the pits - but the pits are at least 1 1/2 miles long.  It could end up being quite a hike to the nearest public units.  Honey Buckets will provide regular and ADA (handicap) toilets and hand wash sinks per your requests.  Our contact guy is Trevor Inman -- 801 330 7219.  He's been on the salt many times and can help you. Here's a quick summary:

You call him to discuss how many units you want and how many times you want it serviced (daily, twice during the event, whatever.  If you have a small crew you'll likely be okay with fewer service visits.  (The units are rated to be useable and serviced weekly for  ten people working a 40-hour week).  Trevor and you will work out payment details.  BTW, I know that payment at the salt is okay.  If you get out there and then decide you want one - find him or me and we'll take care of it.

************

Fast forward to Tuesday and Wednesday (1&2 August) and you can watch the trucks arrive!!(see above video)  Yippee!!  The private rental units will be corralled in a cluster near the pits, and that's where they're to stay until Trevor Inman (or I, a/k/a "The Potentate of Porta-Potties"), release yours to you and arrange to get it to your pit, probably towed by your rope and your truck, or Trevor and his guys will deliver them to you later in the week.

There's be a cluster of units at the Bend in the Road as usual, and if you camp up the hill - yes, you can have units up there.  Ask Trevor  --  801 330 7219.

If you'd like to restrict access - ask for a padlock & key.  Make your own signs:  "Ladies Only"    "Private"   "Please Don't Eat The Minty-Fresh Block In The Bottom" or "Close Cover Before Striking".  I suggest laminating the signs - they'll last better in the wind.  PLEASE don't use duct tape to affix 'em, though - - the baked-on residue won't come off without a fight - and we don't want to pay Trevor to scrape them afterwards.

Contact him, not me, to reserve your toilets!

Look forward to voiding in relative comfort at SpeedWeek.  See you on the salt!
