Major thanks to Bob the web elf...
All y'all that did the Test n Tune need to relay your experiences...
The salt was damp from the rains just before it started, but it was still usable...
Congratulations to the Burkdoll Family Streamliner for fast time of the meet... Timmy has been licensing up and I'll bet they remove the throttle stop for SpeedWeek and let him go fast

Stainless, we ran the Camaro and made five licensing passes between my son and myself. The salt was a bit bumpy but not too bad from where we had the starting line. Monte did an outstanding job dragging and grooming the racing surface. The return road was very soft and I think that was where the majority of the salt that was on the car came from. From what Monte said the area where the Speedweek pits normally is very soft so extra care will need to be taken in that area as to not mess the surface up too badly. The firepits and donuts on the salt are getting out of hand. I honestly don't know what can be done about it though as the BLM cops and the Tooele County Sheriffs only patrol the area when the racers are there. I guess they only care about generating revenue when there is a bunch of low hanging fruit.
Regardless, the salt will have another month to dry out. I am very hopeful that the weather continues to stay dry and hot as that will only help our race course. The weather forecast for Northern Utah is 100-107 degress for most of the next week. All we can do is wait and hope.

About 228 I think... it was testing, not racing... there were some good 130 and 150 cars racing...

A huge Thanks goes out to Stainless, Bob the Web Elf, and of course SSS. I appreciate all the effort everyone put out to get this site up and running again. Especially since I learned that Bob the Web Elf had retired. Thank all of you.

A check is in the mail to help offset the cost to get the site back up and running.
