I'd like to know how the technical regulations for motorcycle land speed have changed over the years.
Does anyone know of any recommended books or websites?
The oldest FIM land speed regulations I have are from 2018.
I tried to find an older version, but I can't find one when I search on the FIM site.
I'm looking to see if they're archived somewhere.

In 1979 the FIM produced a booklet covering the 75 year period 1904 - 1979. Called "Records du Monde" (World Records). This may give you some assistance with your quest. I would suspect that you will find very little old information through a public appeal, except from an ex-racer who has now  retired but kept paperwork from the past. Most people look forward to breaking a current FIM record, using the 2024 rules for the type of machine that they ride - solo, scooter, sidecar, cycle-car or special vehicle.

Thank you, Malcolm.
It's easy to understand why many racers are concentrating on the current regulations in order to break existing records.
I myself am still in the design stage, still undecided (it hasn't even been decided who will ride), but I consider myself an active designer and rarely read anything other than the latest regulations.
Every time I come up with a structure or shape that I don't know if it violates the regulations, I want to know "why the current regulations are like this," and it made me want to study past regulations.
I'd like to take your advice into consideration and hope that retired racers or veteran racers will find something they can use.
