Sun Tunnels run.

Anyone intrigued with the Sun Tunnels and always wanted to go.  Me and a few teardrops are heading out there. This year it lands on a weekend. We'll be leaving December 20th Friday night to see the sun lining up with the tunnels the next morning.
If your interested we will be meeting at the Delle gas station and Bonneville exit gas station. 
Our route will be the dirt road  going north to Lucin.
Conditions will be COLD 🥶 in the single digits.  Bring firewood.
Also 4x4 is nice but not required.  Dirt road with maybe an inch of snow  if that.
I have recovery equipment just incase.  Other groups will probably be out there too, 4x4 related. 
  Last time I went during 2012.  We invaded the gas station with 40 rigs going out into the desert at the end of the world.

Its Friday the 13th.
Last call.  Gonna try to get off work a bit early next Friday.  The guy that was meeting me there had some health issues so... it looks like I'll be flying solo. Kinda used to that. 😉
Truck is full of firewood and have 5+ extra gallons of gas . Plenty of fuel for the wood stove in the trailer.

Here's a video from the last time I went. The next morning a group of us did the transcontinental railroad road heading east to the Golden spike.  Took about 8hrs to get there.

Well it looks like clouds are rolling in tonight and along with the inversion haze,  won't be able to see the sun in the morning line up with the tunnels. PLUS.   Last night I started getting a bad feeling about this trip and going to listen to my gut.  So.... I will be going elsewhere else like Vernon reservoir with equally cold temperatures.

Have you ever been to the Sun Tunnels in June (about June 21)?

Haven't yet.  I usually avoid crowds that's why I like winter.
Somewhere I read, that it (sun)  will line up 10 days after.  May try that next year.
Last year I avoided it cause all the Dylan Rounds searching going on.
Maybe after test and tune if anyone wanted to do a quick drive out there. Always room in my jeep  .
