oldest motorcycle lsr record holder

Does anyone know who is the oldest person to set a motorcycle land speed record? I know Bert Munroe was 68 when he set his last record. Less Harris, also from New Zealand, is the oldest person racing motorcycles at 97 (three weeks from his 98th!!). At 93 he won his last race in 2023! As far as I know he has never run for LSR records.

Also does anyone know the oldest bike to set a land speed record? Bert's bike was 47 yrs old.

I don't know who the oldest record holder is but I know who the oldest competitor was and I believe still is. One guess....

Munro's Indian holds no records, it was illegal 6 different ways.

According to the BMST website, Burt still holds the AMA record he set in 1967.

Apparently, few here have read the lengthy coverage of a "record" run, specdcifically the decision to leet him run despite numerous safety violations.

Munro's Indian holds no records, it was illegal 6 different ways.

Safety then is not the same as safety now... definitions of the classes have also changed...  but the part that is the same is "running is at the discretion of the race director." So the records are there... feel free to take either of them with something you build.  aktion086

How about Marty Dickerson. I think he set a record on Steve Hamels Vincent, beating Steves own record. He was at least 80 years old when he raced the Vin on the salt.

Oldest Motorcycle record that im aware off was set by Jess Thomas 500cc Triumph S-PF @ 212.288mph, on Bonneville August 1956,, Oldest rider ?
