Maybe I missed this in the rule book, but can there be a bulge in the hood, not open on any side?  If so, are there rules to size, shape, spacing to windshield, etc. I am thinking the shape of what they are calling a Sunoco scoop, but not open.

Dodge Brother

My understanding is unless your class specifically permits bubbles or bulges like is permitted for Street roadster hood side panels, your hood "buldge" must be a functional air intake compliant with the hood scoop rules

I personally know a team that had to eliminate one and let the Procharger come through the hood they changed the intake and "Sorta Hid" the Prochager behind it.

Thanks guys.  Personally I don't see where it says you can't. Likely missing it tucked in another rule maybe?  I suppose in the wording "unaltered basic shape and contour".

. . . ya think?

Sorry, i was focusing on the hood and hood scoop rules until I reread the class section again.

it is almost unbelievable how many times you have to read and reread the entire rule book before you pick up the small nuances of a particular class
