The comentator on the radio this year was diabolical /near pathetic. I can stand at the startline and watch the Vehicle leave and then about the 2 he will call the car comming .

I just saw this in the results. Anyone know what happened to the Worlds Fastest Roadster?

I didn't even waste my time trying to listen. Last year cured me. My hand is up.

Don't mistake the streaming with the radio . The streaming sucked. The radio was as always good.

I believe I saw that the 911 car got sideways and a tire dug in, flipping the car.  Glad Donnie made it through that bit of excitement.

Spun and rolled just before the 1.5 mile. Going around 260mph when it happened. Glad he walked away from that one.

Dodge Brother

The 911 crashing on it final run is super lame but glad no one was hurt.

As for Slim's radio show........................ :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap

I see here that the 911 crashed. Sad, that was a nice car.
Glad that the driver is ok.

I question why it is so hard to get any info on the "incidents" that happen on the salt.

Understandably the Speed Demon was huge news and impossible to keep quiet so news of
their devastating crash spread quickly.

But...
in general, no one talks about the crashes. Why is that?
What is the reasoning behind keeping everyone in the dark about the true dangers of LSR?

Why is it only in this type of racing that crashes don't get reported?
It can't just be that it is bad for business... or can it?

On that.... How many "incidents" occurred this speedweek?

P.S.
We miss listening to Slim Too!

To all who replied to my question about the 911 Roadster, Thank you for your replies.

Glad to hear Donnie is alright. At that speed was the car totaled, or can it be rebuilt?

Sorry to hear it happened.

But is anyone really in the dark about the true dangers of LSR? I mean, I assume it's pretty clear to everyone what can happen when someone loses control of a car going 300 or 400 mph. Not trying to be insensitive at all, but having a bad day is just one of the many potential costs of doing business in this sport. If you're willing to take the risk, then the best course of action is to try to make the car as safe as possible and to not dwell on what might go wrong, because as everyone knows...it might go wrong. I just think that beyond trying to be as safe as possible, it's counterproductive and unhelpful to think about crashing if you've already decided that you're going to participate in the sport...
