Some of you may not know that on September 4th the 832 garage was destroyed in a fire. This fire took everything. Well we are determined that we will build a new 832 Gas Roadster. I will document the build here. We hope to have it ready for speed week 2026.

It will not be called 832 2.0!

Best wishes . . .

Do you have drawings, photos, etc. to refer to in re-creating this vehicle?

Miss LIBERTY,  changing T.K.I.  to noise, dust, rust, BLUE HATS & hopefully not scrap!!

"Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing."   Helen Keller

We are going to explore the racing N words NITROUS & NITRO!

Old enough to know better, but too interested in speed to care

Sorry to hear about the fire.  Absolutely terrible...I can't even imagine.

Good luck with the new roadster build.

Just out of curiosity . . . approximately where are you located?  For example,
if in the United States, which state?  I ask because I'm interested in possibly
offering to lend an occasional hand, helping an existing land speed team if it's conveniently close to where I live (in California).

Good luck in this project.

We are located in Southern California near San Diego. Thank you for the offer.

We managed to get the old 832 chassis stripped down to just tubing, we have no plans to use any of it but we will hold onto it to reference for the new build.
The 9inch rearend was disassemble and taken to a local chassis shop to check out. both axel tubes were bent very slightly. He was able to get it all straightened out. No telling if it was from the fire or 20+ years of racing.

The Jeffco trans is still in the repair shop get checked out. But we think it will be fine.

Most of the 565BBC that we broke at speedweek was at the machine shop to we have it to but back together, But our record sitting 255 turbo SBC is destroyed along with almost everything else. We are left with a rearend, Most of a BBC, maybe a Jeffco trans and my 350ci LS turbo motor(not assembled yet). We do have 1 fiberglass body that was luckly sitting outside at that time. That is it!

I love the USA. How much longer will we be a free nation?

  Sorry about that terrible fire.

If I were to build a roadster, I would buy a frame kit from Chris Alston Chassis Works, $1600 with 4 link and choice of mounting for A arm or struts.  I would get the mild steel as its easier to weld for additional brackets ECT

The 222 Camaro has one of these car kits and allows us to adjust for traction. 287mph at the 21/4 recently on parts wash :-P
