Hey all.
I've added some new stuff to the website!
First is a very cool page dedicated to a couple of guys who have contributed to the history of LSR and other forms of motorsport. I think you'll enjoy "Martins Musings". There is tons of stuff to go through and I'll be posting to the page on a regular basis.
The second thing is a donation button. Not much to say about it except, thank you in advance and it's greatly appreciated.

Mike, just used the donation button but I almost looked more like a purchase than a friends and family transfer via paypal.  It also told me my purchase was on hold pending review... Might want to look at that.

Hey Stainless. Thanks for the heads up. The donation setup through Wordpress involves PayPal and with it comes a fee. Not sure about the security thing. I tried it on my end and received the same message. I'll get the bugs worked out!
Your attempt is greatly appreciated!

Thankfully, I will.not be needing that button.
I`d never advocate drugs, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone...But they work for me.

No worries. What button do you need?

I found the "problem". It's a PayPal security thing because it's registered to a new account. Until there are a certain number of transactions or a dollar amount is reached, it holds funds. Stuff you learn about as a new owner!

I just finished reading Martin's Musings -- the story about Ak Miller.  What a great story!

It was very interesting, informative, and inspirational...and distracted me for a while
from some very difficult/stressful things I'm now dealing with.  Many thanks for this new
feature of the website.

I tried to donate, but found it not user-friendly enough for me to succeed.  I'll try
again on another day.  Good luck to all of us.  I love this website/forum.

Best regards,

Mark,

You might put a mailing address like Jon had on the button too.
For those who don't do Facebook or Paypal, and still like envelopes and stamps.  :?
Just a thought.
I love the USA. How much longer will we be a free nation?

Thanks for the suggestion. I've added some verbiage to the page directing folks to send me a private message through the forum if they'd like to donate using another method. Much appreciated.

Nobody's begging for money JB. If you want to contribute fine. If you don't, that's fine too. You've been part of this thing for almost 18 years and have contributed over 4,500 posts. A hero member for sure! You, like everybody else join this forum for free. There is no subscription required and you're not clobbered with pop-up ads for a reason. I'm not here to monetize this. I took it over from Slim because it is to some an invaluable source of information. For some, it's way to stay in touch with what's going on in the world of LSR or just to check in on old friends. My daughter and myself spent considerable time and a little bit of money to keep the website and forum from going dark forever and a few folks have shown their appreciation by pressing the button that you don't care to. To those that have, we are very  grateful and each one received a small token of our appreciation. I'm not sure where the vitriol is coming from but I don't believe that I've given you any reason to be cross with me personally or otherwise. I hope you keep enjoying the forum and will continue to contribute in a positive way. Regards, Mike
