Thank you PorkPie for posting this sad news. Kenny drove Mel Swain's Blown Fuel Modified Roadster to 3 records which I believe still stand at El Mirage from around 1995. Gods speed and Rest in Peace Kenny.

I love the USA. How much longer will we be a free nation?

I met Kenny in the mid 70's when he and Sanderson were running a 65 Mustang. Kenny as was said here a real "Character". He was a real professional driver with excellent skills and ability. He loved land speed racing amongst other traits he had. He was a great MC at the 200 MPH Club Dinners and could keep everyone in stiches for hours...
I remember him taking one of the test passes in an electric streamliner before the "hero driver" got in the car. An "incident" happened which we all could surmise the guy didn't bother to listen to what Kenny had kindly told him.
He was a friend and I will miss him!

Sorry to hear about the passing of Kenny. He was one of the first people I met when I began my land speed journey. To state he was a character is an understatement. We have many good laughs together and he was a great prankster. He thoroughly enjoyed getting one over on somebody. After my first Speedweek adventure, I wrote up attached bogus news article.
RIP Kenny.
