So what's your point?

The enclosed picture was retieved from a dumpster near Disney World!

It's direct drive also.
5 mph in pit area (clothed)

The Ernie Immerso liner looks allot like Chet Herbert's beast.  Was this car inspired by that car?

Personally, I enjoy reading about unique vehicles. I also appreciate new (to me) information I can use, or should be aware of.  All of Franklin's recent posts have been of interest to me, and I suspect I am not the only one who is learning from them. I am new at LSR and I do not have the background and knowledge of some of you that take offense with such information being posted.  I do not understand your position.

Since joining this site, I have read every post in the archives in my attempt to acquire information.  The recent Franklin posts have been very interesting and informative to me.  I would appreciate the continued flow of such information.  Those few of you who do not need or want the information, please refrain from attempting to ruin a good thing for me.  The "ignore" option should resolve most of your needs.

Apparently, one point to consider is maybe some people are so jealous of original thinking they can't deal with those who contribute to the innovators being remembered.

There is a lot of that thinking in the LSR world.  I've seen it first hand. :-o

I've been studying land speed racing since before there was even a Darpanet (the precursor to the Internet).

Very interesting Ermie Immerso's Thunderbird streamliner the design and engineering that went into it. Thanks for the great info and pictures very interesting subject did he in fact go to a Turbine? what was the last record he ran? I think I remember he had four Ford 406ci engines in his streamliner at one time or was a differaint build? Thanks Ratliff for any info

If he was still around I don't think he would give you an answer, that's how he was. :x

His info and knowledge is a help to us all Jon told me he no longer can post. I will tell you after looking though his work on ALSR and LSR and advanced Space technology he is a great asset to this LSR. I would like to learn more from him I seen he helped Craig Breedlove in his Rocket Car project and Waldo Stakes if you go the ALSR forum you can see some of it
