Here are some photos that my wife and I took this evening from our door step of the fires that are burning at Camp Pendelton and Oceanside.

Take care and good luck Scott. Went by my old station today and they were just put on alert, may be sending an engine to fight Socal fires.
Bonneville 2001,2002,2003,2004,and NO stinking 2005,DLRA 2006, next?
Well,sure can't complain about 2008--6 records over 200 and 5 hats from Bonneville,Bubs, and El Mirage for the team!

Come on down to SoCal. We have four seasons here. Earthquake, flood, fire, and drought.  :cheers:

I have a sore throat and a headache from the smoke today. The Marek fire in the northeast San Fernando Valley was blowing smoke right over where I work.

The Sesnon fire in the northwest San Fernando Valley broke out while I was at work and cut off my normal ride home on the 118 fwy. My 1/2 hour cruise home was a 1 3/4 jam on the 101 fwy.

87 mph winds.

UGH!
Well, it used to be Los Angeles . . . 50 miles north of Fresno now.
Just remember . . . It isn't life or death.
It's bigger than life or death! It's RACING.

Make fun of the rain we get in the Pacific Northwest........but at least we seldom burn down.
