I have heard that Ack Attak ran over 400mph in Speedweek and now is the fastest motorcycle in the world  ,but havent read it anywhere ! Fact or fiction ? Hope you can help Harry

TINY

He did not run over 400 He ran 394 exit speed at Cooks landpeed shootout.

Not over 400 but still a new record. 376 and change.

The MoTeC data logger showed a speed about 401.7 at peak.  Rocky stayed in the throttle for a short time after clearing the last light -- to see if he could get a bit more speed.  The speed is not official by any means, but is probably pretty close to accurate -- close enough for Rocky to know that he's the first motorcycle rider to exceed 400 mph.

The feat was done at the Shootout 2010.  Yes -- we were there to witness it. . . and the celebrating afterwards!

Yes, it was quite a celebration. . .

Fortunately we have a place like this to celebrate the absolute speed records and accomplishments of Landspeed racers. you need a Publicist and Press Releases to get the attention of Mainstream Media.

In Columbus Ohio, the local paper had about 2 sentences on the accomplishment's of the Buckeye Bullet from the beloved Ohio State University. You can read a paragraph about what the quarterback of the football team had for breakfast on Saturday Morning's Sports page.

No, I'm not bitter, am I?

Maybe a tad Mike   But heck I am a Wolverine fan so what do I know

Mike  Like Nascar lots of flags and cautions. Takes 4 hours to play a one hour game and another hour for the sports media to talk about the game.,

it is better to live one day as a lion, than it is to live one thousand days as a lamb. or maybe it is better to burn out than fade away.
