Got my copy from my gift sub last night. So glad HRM is so timely.........................not! Other than the late model stuff all the stories/pictures that interest me have been covered online via the HAMB and here over the last couple years  Yes, the internet IS better than print.

Congrats to Charles and others that got a mention

I don't normally buy the magazine, which issue are we talking about here?  I'd like to get a copy.

I think we're talking about the issue just now hitting the stands and mailboxes.  I do subscribe - but the magazine hasn't got to the house yet.  I subscribe more as a nod of the head to David Freiburger - for his efforts at getting HR Magazine more aware of LSR.  I do enjoy reading it, though.

As to the post a while back - about the magazine being slow compared to the internet stuff -- well, yes, but I don't take the computer with me to the bathroom as I now and then do with the magazine.  The print version is also nice 'cause I receive good quality images without having to print them on my machine -- which sometimes gets colors a bit wrong- and so on.  I'll keep using both print and wireless versions of lots of things.

I grew up as a magazine junkie, I have thousands. HRM is better now than it has been in years. But, I chuckle when the content has obviously been lifted off internet forums. Says a lot about the power of the net.

I cherish my 50s and 60s HRMs, was even reading some last night. They are what got me interested in the Salt as a kid. I don't think any of these new issues will hold the same cache for me in 40 years.

Tman, If you have been reading them since the 50's, you're not going to be here in 40 years. :-D

No, I am 41 and started with a box my dad gave me of late 60s issues. The rest I have collected over the years

May be Charlie, latched onto that pile o mags at 4, one of my earliest memories. Made my folks haul them in 3 big moves before I was 10. Some of these mags have 50,000 miles on them!@

it is too bad that you can't look at ladies in their underwear before you tear off a chunk but as soon as you get to the issue from a couple of months ago you'll be happier....
When you're finished with your run drop by to see me on the salt  8-)

Speaking of timely publication, last year @ Speedweek "Rod and Custom" magazine did a photo shoot of "Street Roadsters" on the Salt. The article has yet to be published. Maybe on the one year anniversary?

Tman

TRK has a story out in the new issue shot by my pal Mike Harrington. Awesome photos, only a handfull of racecars, the rest are spectator cars.

hotrod

and what is a "TRK"?

Acronyms only mean something to people that are already familiar with the terms being condensed to initials, I have absolutely no clue what publication you are talking about.

Larry, you mean you didn't know that "TRK" stands for "thick rice kimono"?  I thought everyone in the world knew that one.
