Burt Munroe ever break 200 MPH ?

As the title says ... Did Burt Munroe ever hit 200 MPH ?

The " Worlds Fastest Indian " topic came up again on another forum and 1 member is positive the Burt went 205.xxx MPH but couldnt back it up .... swears he has seen the info.

What do those that know have to say ?

Should I merge the two threads about Bu/ert Munro and 200MPH?  And, if so -- which of them should be the one that retains the name?  This one - or "Burt Munro and 200 MPH"?  And should I ask DC511 to respell Be/urt's last name?

I always prefer the MERGE on the board i help with. Makes following the details easier.

Works for me because it doesn't matter how they are tied together; he never ran 200 MPH at B'ville.
