After Tuesday the long term weather looks good in Wendover. The advance crew will be there on Monday to set up and drag courses. Any word from them will be posted on the SCTA web site as to the conditions etc. Check it daily. I am sure it will be posted here as well.

"Salt Report-7-9-11

Our July 10 scheduled "pretrip" has been cancelled for now. On site inspection of the salt this morning revealed too much water to do any work.
Stay tuned."

I went out to Land's End yesterday, there are the normal puddles around Land's End.  I VERY CAREFULLY drove out towards the end of the dike, the salt is slushy, but firm and there is standing water by the dike.  No, I did not drive thru that, but the dinosaur and truck are high and dry.  We had a lovely 20-30 mph wind yesterday that is helping evaporate the water.  The temps are in the 90's and there are no more storms headed this way!!

Oh, the salt is also very, very white!!  Looks beautiful!!

See you in about 3 weeks!!  WOO HOO!!!!!

See you on the salt!
