Thank you for the updates, Monte.

With 2 courses, the 130 club, 150 club, and the various 36HP racers will utilize the short course, correct?

Steve.

Looks like the salt may have got enough moisture overnight to settle the dust with no more on the horizon. I call that a glue shower! :-)

JR'S PAPA

I pulled up the weather station on the flats and it showed no precipitation for the last week.

Been there, seen that! And now I can say I participate, with my kid and his kid, J.R...........

USFRAMONTE

We did get just enough rain last night to settle the dust just as Sid alluded to.
The tracks look as good as I remember them from many years back.
The short course will be used by the Volkswagens, 130 and 150 club vehicles and any short course LSR vehicle that wants to.
I must give a shout out to Mother Nature, SCTA/BNI and BMST. Each of them have done their share of making the salt as good as it is right now. It has made our course preparations go so much better.
The USFRA volunteers have been putting in the hours to make this event happen. We are excited to host you all at the World of Speed.
For those that are interested, check out the salt camera at the 5:55 time stamp today.

I can't make it this year. We are in the process of moving to a new house in town and packing up things to move and paring down all the stuff  from my workshop- necessitated by only having a 3-car garage now- is taking all the time right now. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the VA will find out what is going on with me and that my health will be better next year.

Monte,
Duke and I really regret that we are not able to attend your meet. They are such a great time. Our lakester is ready but a previous family obligation is in the way.

We hope (know!) that it will be a great meet and that everyone will have a great time!
Good luck to all,
Rex and Duke

Sid will be there helping out with Marty's team since the streamliner is down.  I will be out Friday after work and doing some filming during the event.  If anyone wants to put a camera in their car,  im all for it.  I have a new lens to get those far away shots.  Cant wait to hear the cars go screaming by at full song.
Most rules are written in blood and...... Rule changes are bought by a big fat check. 😉

Sporty Dan

I'll be heading out this evening to start the drive to Wendover.  8-) Can't wait to get there!

I was hoping but hey Sid is a warrior. He's a good mate. God Bless you guys. Have a good time.

I didn't have the time or money to repair the damage in such short time Mike. I hadn't been to work in more than two months up until SW & the bills keep coming regardless so if I'd spent the money to repair it there wouldn't have been money to run it. My race number is 650 & it really equates to building a big liner on 6 bucks & change.

I'm that eternal optimist. I was hoping. Crazy how us guys from the Southern Hemisphere have a hard time with LSR?. I'm not really in there yet but the two Kiwis were/are on a mission.
This is all dogged determination. Maybe 6 bucks and change is the true spirit of the game?. God Bless you Sid.
