Long course runs from day 1 are on the USFRA web site.

Looks like Andy Nish was fastest with 332 mph chasing a Vesco 335 mph record.

TAKERRY

Yesterday I showed 160mph on my GPS so I backed down at the 2. Today I ran twice and both times my GPS read 163mph and then I backed down. I'm already in the 150 club so my goal was to see what my car could do and have fun. Tomorrow I will spend my time watching the cars run and Monday the long drive to Scottsdale. NO TRAILOR.
No trailer ran 135mph at the World of Speed 2011 see you in 2012 in Ohio and back at Bonneville at the world of speed going for the 150club 1979 Firebird T/A White . Ck out YOU TUBE. KERRY AT BONNEVILLE. Didn't  make 2012,2013,2014. ECTA in Ohio 2012 trans went out and 2013 fuel problems . Still trans and fuel problems. Finally all looks good. Ready to drive (no trailer) 1500 miles to Bonneville and It's cancelled. NEXT YEAR. SEPT. ECTA RAN 144 MPH. GETTING BETTER. 2021 Ran 152 fulfilled a ten year dream to make the 150 club. 2024 ran 163 on GPS backed off going thru timing lights.

Looks like the salt may have got enough moisture overnight to settle the dust with no more on the horizon. I call that a glue shower! :-)
  Sid.

Are you going?.

I can't make it this year. We are in the process of moving to a new house in town and packing up things to move and paring down all the stuff  from my workshop- necessitated by only having a 3-car garage now- is taking all the time right now. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the VA will find out what is going on with me and that my health will be better next year.

Neil, your health comes first brother. Prayers sent.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
BTW, moving is all stress.

You are in for a treat with your first USFRA meet, it's not like a circus event but more like you're going racing with your best friends. There are a lot of people that only run with USFRA because of this.
  Sid.

Hey Sid, will there be a live feed on YouTube like Speed Week if you know?.

No.  Livestreams are pretty boring.  There's alot of hurry up and wait downtime,  course shutdowns for 45mins, ect.
The best way to see the action is show up and walk through the staging lanes when cars are sitting at the line.  Wander over to the pits,  see the cars go by at speed.
Check youtube for recent videos.  I'll be posting what footage I got later next week.
Sneak peek.

Most rules are written in blood and...... Rule changes are bought by a big fat check. 😉

37 ROADSTER

Is there a list of records set, or any more run logs.

Happy Pappy

Seems the USFRA site has no info for 8th & 9th. Hopefully we'll get something soon :-)

We set a new F/ Fuel Roadster record at 212.301 mph with my roadster, which got me into the 200 mph club.   (Previous record was 204.074)

In the process, I burned some of the paint off of the hood side, had to replace spark plug wires with loaners from Mike Strasburg, and wasn't let into impound on a technicality (stopped on the return road next to the pit for literally a minute...long story).

But then we went even faster the next two passes, so it all worked out.  The salt was in great shape...better than I've seen it in a long time.

2026 D/BFR Bonneville Record 247.345 mph

We managed to set 2 records over the course of the WoS meet in 2024.

On Sept 6th, we took the opportunity to make 4 test runs on the 1-mile course, which allowed us to learn a lot about the new engine combination before making any qualifying passes on the combo course.

We qualified on the 7th in H/DT.

On Sept 8th, we bumped the existing H/DT record from 144.6 to 157.340 mph.

Then, on the 9th, we were able to qualify again, make a backup run, and bump that record up to 163.328 mph.  Not bad for a 1.5 Liter diesel truck.

Conditions were great for racing.  I know there were a lot of issues with the timing equipment being down.  If USFRA will accept donations for new timing equipment, count me in for at least $100.

Steve.

Apology incoming,

The 2024 World of Speed has come and gone.  Several records were set, some which we are not so proud of. Record wait times in the staging lanes, record number of missed times, record downtime due to our malfunctioning timing system.

We sincerely apologize for the missteps on our part. Our timing system has aged out and is going to be replaced.

The racers and crews, gave us words of encouragement as we worked through the difficulties. We were eventually able to get things sorted out and the event ended on a smooth and satisfying trend.  Many of you came forward after the event to shake hands and offer kind words and understanding sentiments. Also many offers of help, both technically and financially have come forward. We are humbled by the show of willingness to help. As club officers and volunteers we are committed to move forward and improve our events so that we can make things better in the future.

We are currently investigating a few different paths forward and will select the one that will suit the needs of the racers in the best way possible. Stay tuned for further updates and we hope to see you all next year.

Sincerely,

USFRA officers and volunteers.

Monty, I think I speak for the majority of WOS attendees when I say that "sh*t happens" and I think it would be wrong to try to lay blame at anyone's feet. You and all the great people who do soooo much so that we can race are the best !! Yes it was frustrating to wait in the long lines only to be shut down but you all did the best possible under the circumstances. The fact that the club recognizes the need for some new equipment shows that you guys are aware and planning on doing something instead of making excuses. I for one will continue to support the club and when I'm too old to get out of the car, I'll be there as a volunteer!  :-D Again, a HUGH THANK YOU  to the entire crew for all you guys and gals do !

I certainly had a great time. While I did notice some delays, I didn?t let them get me down. I always try to remember the club is doing their best.  The people are always great and there to help. I love seeing everyone?s face and smiles. And, nothing beats having monte check my equipment and send me down the course. Thank you USFRA for my favorite meet of the year.

JR'S PAPA

Three years of no meets (income), rust, volunteers, salt clean-up, BLM neglect, are problems you had to overcome, not excuses. I feel the enthusiasm and spirit far exceeded the delays. We got the "SALT" and those sunrises back for a few days. We got to reacquaint with our family again. We got hugs, smiles, and handshakes. We ran, broke and got records. We were THERE again! Thanks Dennis, Monte, Ellen, Cindy, Ron, timers, patrol, gate, mile watchers and all that go unnoticed, unnamed and underappreciated. Your love of us and our "SALT" showed up for another "GREAT" World of Speed. Thank you-Thankyou-THANKYOU!!!!!!
