streaming?

Let's see.  SSS fronts this website himself.  Yes, some of us slip him a few bills from time to time.  Whatsamatter with him!  Why can't he hire a few people to wander the line and pits and film and/or record any interesting entry (aren't they all!).  And perhaps oversee the video production in the evening in his 4th-floor suite overlooking the airfield where he was flown in from some place called S'uper?  Probably doing that correctly it would put him in a different tax bracket, and taking advantage of all of us.  Put him back in PortaPotties where he belongs!

Man there's alot of bitchin and moaning on here.  Years ago ESPN was out here and haven't been back since. What's that tell ya.
I also miss slims streams but if you really want to see the action,  get off the couch, drive many miles and suffer the heat. 
Streaming video just isn't going to do it.

I'm just gonna be thankful for what info or video is out there. 
Volunteer for a team and film them going through the up's and downs of just getting to the line is a major feat for them.

I also miss slims streams but if you really want to see the action,  get off the couch, drive many miles to get there,  sit in the hot sun for hours,  dehydrate yourself to the point of exhaustion,  try and film during that and front the trip costs gas, fee's, food , oh and on top of that try and not get hurt,  deal with tempers cause everybody is going through the same mess,  drive back home and try to recover (which I still don't feel right,  not 100%)  also going back to work. Did I mention sunburns. 😟

The biggest complaint about the stream is the lack of saying speeds for cars and only on talking about course #1.   The first day had no speeds except for what we heard over the radios.  He has gotten better each day but still not 100%.   People are always asking for speeds for cars.   Towards the end of the day he tends to zone out and does not give speeds.   Then he goes on one of his drives where the camera goes out and we loose sound and again no speeds.   Yes down course shots are great but he needs someone to control the video and also announce.

Slim - I'm sorry Jim Lattin was angry with you. I can't defend his attitude or his choices, although I think the salt racers benefit from his leadership.

I watched the livestream again today, and I was glad to have it. Amazed at all the whiners in the live chat. It's free, so WTF? Saw some great cars leave the line, sounds like the salt was nice and hard with many records set, and more ready to be set first thing Monday morning.

No complaints from me here in Wichita.
