It was a great weekend, great track no problems with traction in 3rd gear.  I was a little too aggressive with the throttle and really trying to go fast at this meet.  Mission accomplished with more on the table.

   Thats some great driving Troy.

BUT we didn't get our 252.448  30 mph over old record listed in the 2025 rule book :?

Got the certificate and trophy though: cheers

That long shot of Troy hauling a$$ down the course is SO BITCHEN!!! There is no doubt that he is going really fast!!

Thanks John and Troy!

Video shows Troy hitting throttle 6 sec after movement from push truck. 6 sec later GPS shows. 80 mph 3 sec later 100mph.

Will try knocking off 3 or 4 sec at start next time .

After reviewing data log it seems the GPS is not keeping up with Troy's acceleration.

  1st gear 2.55 sec 6163 rpm 120 [slip]?

  2nd       11.05 sec 7450 rpm 208 mph

3rd        27.9 total sec 7695 rpm way faster than 7400 for 252.488 mph.

252 mph is average between the speed traps but only takes a fraction of a sec to pass through.

For guys with dream wheels.   2.5 gear ratio 29 inch tire  7700 rpm.

265 with no tire growth...

Yeah..stainless our tires measure a hair under 28 inches on the table, so I figure 1 inch tire growth at 29, a little conservative.

We wanted to check rod bearings yesterday before next race and decided to replace with new ones as car was jacked up and pan off. Old bearings ok but not new looking.
Not making Speedweek but going to USFRA meet in Sep.

Have plan to increase 21/4 speed 10 to 20mph 8-)

John and Troy,
I will be looking forward to seeing you guys at the World of Speed. Duke and I decided that an extra month to get our car ready was a lot better than busting hump trying to making Speed Week. We need to spend a day on the dyno at Chuckles to get our new setup close. That and the family picnic this weekend made the decision for us.

See you there!!

Decided to touch up underbelly, rear end was rusty, and step pan needed repainting. we used an angle grinder with sandpaper, wire brush and sander on 1/4 shank on air tool. This got most of rust removed but not all in hard-to-reach places so ordered rust remover gel from Amazon, after 2 applications Troy primed and painted. Black gloss.

We also set the rollout on rear tires. They were off 1/2 inch from our pressure settings but now within 1/8 inch.
