My doctor told me that surgeons are trained to not scare the patients.  For example, during surgery, if something goes wrong,
the surgeon isn't supposed to say "Oh, shit!" (or something similar).  Instead, they are trained to just cough.  So whenever I
am there for a procedure, I bring cough drops for the surgeon.  If they have a sore throat -- and cough -- , I don't want them to
scare the shit out of me!
