Let's hope not.... with any luck the salt will be flooded with returning brine until June.  Everyone remember the salt needs regular watering to get the best racing surface.
A.S.S. Racing and SS Racing have rooms booked at the 6, just like most of the last 20 years....  :wink:

I will never stay in (bendover) again.  Just bought a 38 foot 5th wheel to sleep in and a 2005 volvo tractor to pull it with. dont have to stress over rooms no more. well the crew can :| :|

Got my Res. for 2 rooms at the Nuggett, less than half of what I paid at the Peppermill this year.

last year I did the Jacusi suite, for 150 per night at the nugget,  is Montego bay more expensive than that?

Seldom Seen Slim

For the sake of comparison, when Nancy and I were in W. Wendover for the USFRA banquet (5-6 December 2009) we stayed in a jacuzzi suite -- for $89/night.  Or maybe it was less than that -- but still pretty cheap compared to a buck-fifty ($150).

Not sure if we're going to rent an apartment again this year, but if anyone's interested -- ask me (here or in a PM or an email) and I'll give you enough details to get you started.  Basic:  $620/MONTH for two bedrooms, furnished.  No, I don't know if you could rent it for just SpeedWeek.

Stainless;

Was told several days ago by Motel 6 that reservations would not be accepted till Mon. Jan. 11 at 9AM Mtn Time. Maybe I didn't know the secret handshake, or didn't make my 2010 res. at SW last year?? Just wondering?? LOL Thanks

Tom,
They have always been good with long time customers.  When we arrived last year, they were under new ownership, but all the reservations were good.  They said they were not going to take reservations until Jan 2010.  Then they talked to a lot of folks and found out how many of us were there year after year.  If you were there toward the middle to the end of the week, they decided to run a list so we could get our rooms back in 2010.  They have been calling confirming reservations with the regulars.  I suspect there will be a few rooms available when they start taking reservations, but not many.  Good luck.

  Stainless and Tom, I doubt it.  I was told three weeks ago by the new manager, Manuel, that he was only booking rooms off of the list and that he would open up any remaining rooms on January 1st.
  I got up at 6am on the 1st and called him and he said they were gone.
  Don't, however, take my word as Gospel as he may have been hung over.
  I would give him a call to make sure ....................  Bob
