Guys, you're the only real friends I have.
Thanks for all the kidding, good advice and inspiration.

We all have our personal issues and they aren't normally for public discussion.
Building this liner is difficult but doing it in Africa is a joke.

I was an excellent apprentice, soldier, hockey player and salesman. I handled customers very well.
I do however have a problem with bullies and condescending folk. People say it's a Napoleonic Complex.
Not so. I was bullied for 13 years by everyone. When I eventually evened scores things changed.
You get in my face by poking, shouting or trying to shove, you go. End of story.

The thing with the engineering sponsor went off the rails. Garth was this awesome dude. He machined my throttle body off my crazy not to scale hand drawings.
Second time around he switched 180. Suddenly everything was junk. For a year I got played. The guy treated me badly. It's sponsorship so I sucked it up and had no issue
being put on the backburner.
Due to my past history the little lady locked me in the master bedroom and drove over to Garth to save me from myself. Every time I went over there I was taking Valium
prescribed for "PTSD" I apparently had????. I can't figure this dude out and I know if I had gone there last December I would have ruined my reputation.
I'm fighting a spiritual war. Trying to be a good Christian boy is a tough deal. You get attacked non stop. Freaking nightmare stuff.

People are calling me a fraud, can't see no project in what I'm doing, cancelling sponsorships and or plain ignoring me.
I haven't really had a day off since I started this build.

It's my life. I love it and it's all I have. I haven't given an inch and I won't. Loyalty is the key to life. I promised people I'd get this done and I intend to see it through.

She came home with all my samples and a good portion of the components. Garth never made the Aluminium weld in injector bungs and one of the rear axle bearing carriers.
The one he sent was unfinished. I got the full spool and the direct drive collar for the auto trans. The spool's dimensions are spot on but looks nothing like the drawing
and the collar's chamfer although drilled to suit the bolt pattern for the flywheel wasn't counterbored.

I remedied that by cutting an 11,5mm drill bit and tig welding it to my counterboring tool. I think their chuck was going to butt up against the long side of the adapter.
It's now perfect. I'll post pics tomorrow.

I have an issue with rear end bearings. The crown wheel and pinion rebuild kit plus the BR20 axle bearings. I contacted Richmond Gear asking for part numbers and prices.
They never replied so I kept on emailing only to find out they don't carry the BR20s and haven't given me info on the rebuild kit. My local sponsor to be deals in metric and might help
but they don't know where to buy what I need. The last bearings were Chinese and I can't get a refund because Dale claims they were correctly supplied by the late George Matev who knew exactly what I needed the bearings for. See how things are fighting me here?. The boxes said American but the bearings are stamped CHINA!!!!. Tom was emphatic that I throw the junk in the trash!.

I'm stuck. I used my last bucks on those bearings.

I've never asked you guys to pass the hat around to bail me out but many of you have shown great generosity by sending me unobtanium stuff. God Bless all of you for the gestures.
I'm all in on charity begins at home 100% but I'm in a bind and it hurts to ask but I need help?.

Anthony is a family member based in Sacramento and is coming to South Africa on Feb 9th. He says he has no problem putting parts in his luggage for me. If any of you want to sponsor me
on this bearing issue I'd be forever grateful. I'm going to speak to my contact at Bearing Man Group and direct him to Summit to check if he'll buy from them for me first and let you know the outcome.

I've built some awesome components on the induction side over the last weeks and there is light at the end of the tunnel. Just a few stumbling blocks I need to get over here.
I'll have pics tomorrow. Thank you all.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

  Sid.

Sid, the only numbers I have is the Crown Wheel is stamped 560138- 21:48
                                                    Pinion is stamped           560140-  21-48
The guy from Summit said the kit has shims, bolts etc. Shims I can't get here no way.

The axle bearings are BR20.
Thank you so much.

My carrier bearings are LM501349 & the race is LM501314. The stock ring gear bolts are left hand thread & there are none in this kit I have but what did they tap your carrier threads to?
If you kept the carrier shim pack you took out, that will be enough to reset it but I'll send the shim pack out of this kit if you need it.
You don't want to use a collapsible pinion spacer. I know you don't have a lathe, can you get somebody to make one or do you want me to get you one?
Your yoke probably has a small U joint, I have a Sonoma 4 bolt flat flange yoke here, do you want it?
Speed up the response here M8 before we run out of time.
Sid.

I've only got the left hand thread carrier bolts.
Send everything you can.
I'll get the lather work sorted.
I'll PM you Anthony's details.

Thanks mate. Unreal that Kiwis and Springboks work together.
You're a top bloke Sid. Thank you.

The situation so far.

The enemy is at the gate. TIME.
I have months at this stage.
Drastic action required.
Local support is dried up, no return calls, guys reneging and staff that have moved on.
I sold my Volvo XC70 to the scrap dealer to generate funds. Hurt but had to be done.
I need resin to make body work.

I was busy in December and only took one day off.

I've made a bunch of parts, modified others and am busy finishing more.
Both pedals are done.
The intercooler box is waiting for heat reflective coating hence the thin layer of body filler on the lid.
That will be covered. More pics to follow.
The Carbon Fibre Stud girdle chowed a decent amount of material but needs one more stage to be done.
I'll post those pics next week.

I'll send carrier bearings, pinion bearings & a shim kit. I'm just one broke bastard with a race car helping another broke bastard building a race car. I sent my spare 10 bolt Greek Coupler to the Aussie Tank guys back before the world changed forever, what's happening with that Goggs & Grum?
  Sid.

tauruck

Awesome.
Thank you Sid.
God Bless you man.
You made my day.
Being broke isn't fun and I blame myself.
No one held a gun to my head on this build.
I chose the hardest path and now have to deal with the rocks and stuff.

I still need shipping info M8!

Things are moving. Thank God. I'm Blessed.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻✝✝✝✝✝
