I have about 35% of a stabilizer.
She has a way to go but it's a start.

Top hat bushings.
I needed 20 for my rod end joints.
I sent samples to Craig at Turnstar for him to machine them.
I never put a rush on it.
Two weeks went by so I thought I'd ask because things get lost over time.

I called to ask him if he'd done them yesterday at around 4 in the afternoon.
That's closing time here. He said he forgot but would machine them.
At 8 this morning I got a WhatsApp message with photos and one word. Ready!!!.
He came into work early today just to machine my parts.

There's not a racer anywhere on the planet with the support I have.
It's freezing by our standards and the guy lives 30 miles from Turnstar.

Local people seem to stay away from me because they think I might start preaching AT them concerning their bad behaviour!.😂😂😂😂
I'm here for my own salvation. If I'm considered a recluse/hermit/religious zealot or other I could care less. I don't give a penny.

I pray and graft. No time for outside influences. I don't watch news and can't tell you what bread or milk costs.

Whatever I ask for just turns up in HIS time. I just call miracles answers these days. That's the truth.
Been using OLFA box cutter style tools for about 30 years. One knife doesn't even have the plastic handle anymore. Someone cleaned it in Acetone years ago!.
These OLFAS are the best. I threw out 7 knockoff type things last week because they look similar but that's where it ends. Big rubber grips like you find on lifesaving equipment.
I contacted OLFA SA to ask for a small sponsorship. They came back in minutes. I wanted a scissors, a box cutter, spare blades and a rotary cutter for Kevlar.
You have a dedicated Kevlar scissors but if you mess up and use it on Carbon or glass it's just another scissors after that. People sell black ones. All my scissors are black!!!!!.

The young lady wants to visit to discuss my needs so I give her a day and time but stress she must have a chaperone. Aubrey and I got the shop presentable and the next day they were here.
She was very interested in the liner, the guy not so much. Strange. He went out for a smoke break. I thought guys were car freaks?.

While they were here I warned them about the power tool cables. The floor is covered. I said I love my tools but cordless is the answer these days.

They took off and I never gave it another thought. Back to work.
I'm not cutting Kevlar yet so it's no biggie.

At noon today Emma calls saying she's at the gate with a few things. LIAR!!!. She had 2 boxes.

This company carries a wide range of product so on inspection I found a set of German drills, small spirit levels and more OLFA scissors I could use.
Cordless power tools and a spare battery and she claimed it was "A few things to keep me going for now!".

I welded up the blow off pipe and flange for the Turbosmart BOV.
The tubing bends I have are a little big on OD so I made a plan and it turned out OK.

I'll direct and weld on the rest when I have all the plumbing done.

I got a bunch more done on the vertical stabilizer.

It's a tough piece. I overkilled it. I know the steel sleeves aren't that heavy but this part has beef!.

I shaped the top and it's ready for glass.

I used to pay R61/m for 161gr/m "S" twill weave glass.
Now it's R140!.
I have a roll but wanted 280gr. The price they're asking now is more than I paid for Carbon. I'm a Dinosaur.
I check around because the two companies I use are well over R200.
During my search I find a company selling Basalt Fibre. Malcolm is a cool dude. He says he thought South Africa would gobble it up but he paid big school fees and the stuff doesn't move.
He asks my application and says he'll give me twill weave for the long car. Best stuff for exhaust and turbo blankets. He's going to call me the next day but a week goes by and nothing so I call.
Same industrial area but wrong company. They don't have a Malcolm there.
Short story. I get to a guy called Wade. They sell glass, release agent and Polyester resin. I ask about 280gr twill. R26.70/m!!!!!!. COMEDIAN!!!!. 26 bucks?.
I've been sitting on 2 grand sent to me by my Texas guardian like a mother hen. If I can get glass OK and if not I'll get an Argon refill.

I tell the guy I'll buy 50m if he delivers COD!!!. I want to know he's not a fly by night AND I want to see this glass he speaks of.
He played me for about 5 days so you all know what I'm thinking right?.

I fell off the Blind Faith wagon there for a spell.
Monday, he's on his way and his car plays up. Can he come at 11 on Wednesday morning?. Sure. By now I'm done!!!!!.
I call him at 11h30 and he's on his way. Nada. By 15h00 I call and ask. Hey can't make it and apologizes but his delivery guy will deliver.

Guy at the gate in an unmarked pickup. No signage. I ask. I'm Jethro from X and I have your delivery.
50m of 280 should weigh 14kg so I put the roll on the scale. All good. I tear off the plastic and it's the BINGO of the century.

I'm not a bad dude but I'm keeping this secret. I'll need to generate funds for 2 more rolls before these guys put the price up.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
